The Picker’s Guide (thepickersguide.co.uk) is a UK website. This page explains what data the site collects and what happens to it.
What we collect. Comments: if you leave one, we store the name, email address and website you provide, plus your IP address and browser details for spam detection. Email: if you write to us, we keep the message as long as needed to deal with it. Analytics: we use Google Search Console to see which search terms bring people here. It shows aggregate data only; we cannot identify you from it.
Cookies. If you comment, you may opt in to cookies that remember your details for next time; they last one year. The site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Affiliate links. Articles contain affiliate links to retailers such as Thomann and Gear4Music. If you click one, the retailer may set a cookie on their own site so they know the visit came from us. Those cookies belong to the retailer and are covered by their privacy policies.
Embedded content. Articles may embed content from other sites, such as videos. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other site, which may collect data about you.
Your rights. Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email thepickersguide@proton.me.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone.
